“Contructing Albert” er et portræt af kokken Albert Adrià og hans ambition om at åbne seks unikke restauranter indenfor et enkelt år. Albert åbnede, sammen med sin bror Ferran Adrià, den verdensberømte restaurant el Bulli i Barcelona der vandt titlen for verdens bedste restaurant hele 5 gange. Albert konstruerer for første gang sig selv og sit eget navn, og fastslår sig som en af de helt store og nyskabende indenfor gastronomien. Efter El Bullis enorme succes, hvor Alberts bror Ferran har været hovedfigur, vil Albert endeligt forsøge at komme ud af sin brors skygge og stå på egne ben.

 
The film "Contructing Albert" follows Alberta's journey from 2013 to 2016. The film is a portrait of chef Albert Adrià and his ambition to open six unique restaurants within a single year. Albert, together with his brother Ferran Adrià, opened the world-renowned ElBulli restaurant in Barcelona, ​​winning the title of the world's best restaurant all 5 times. After elBulli's huge success, where Alberts brother Ferran has been the main character, Albert will finally try to get out of his brother's shadow and stand on his own feet.

De kokkestuderende på Aarhus Techs linje for trends og gastronomi kommer med lækre smagsprøver inspireret af filmen. Før filmen fortæller de studerende om deres uddannelse, præsenterer os for deres kreationer, som er inspireret af restaruanterne der gamme vi For tredje år i træk samarbejder FoodFilmFestival med de Europæiske Gastronomi regioner, ERG. Catalonien i Spanien fik titlen i 2016, og er hjem til en rig og interessant madkultur, der blandt andet har fostret den berømte restaurant elBulli i Barcelona grundlagt af Ferran Adrià og hans bror Albert Adrià som er omdrejningspunktet i denne dokumentar.

For the third consecutive year, FoodFilmFestival cooperates with the European Gastronomy Regions.
