“A Taste of Life” is a dive into life, both what might and what is living. The text changes between the realistic and the surreal, so that you in a sensible way lose a foothold and float into a world that speaks to all senses through time and space. Maiken Abildgaard’s works are put into play in an intimate reading, where the flavors described are physically “emphasized” during the reading.

May you, for example, Danish from KUA. She works and lives north of Copenhagen. Maiken Abildgaard is the author of the books “FOLK” (2011), “The Watched” (2013) and “A Taste of Life” (2014). In her latest book “A taste of life,” the story changes between the realistic and the surreal, so that you are freaking away and instead float into a fine and hyperrealistically illustrated Italian cookbook – but here the apples are not just appetizing, they are wormed and full of maddies.
